About the PG Department of Sociology:
Shailabala Women’s Autonomous College is one of the foremost educational institution in Cuttack district of Odisha. The Department of Sociology was established in the year 2013. But the major PG. courses was added in the year 2016. The Department of Sociology is dedicated to excellence in teaching and service. As a department of Sociology, to offer Solid foundation and broad understanding of the discipline and to allow for substantive interest at local, regional, national level and international level. At present, there are 2 permanent faculty members, and 3 guest faculty members appointed by the higher education of the state government.
